New technology will better serve aging and disability communities in Tennessee

Mon Ami, a leading software provider in the aging and disability industry, is thrilled to announce its new partnership with the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability (TCAD). After an extensive search for a new software vendor, TCAD has selected Mon Ami as the state aging network's primary client database system for the state's nine Area Agencies on Aging and Disabilities (AAADs).

The Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability (TCAD) serves as the State Unit on Aging for the 1.7 million older adults and adults with disabilities in Tennessee. TCAD works to improve the quality of life for these individuals by promoting their independence, dignity, and choice.

James Dunn, TCAD Executive Director, spoke about the importance of this partnership, stating, "The aging population in Tennessee is experiencing a significant boom, and it is vital we have the proper tools to make data-driven decisions that support those we serve. Before establishing our partnership with Mon Ami, it had been two decades since TCAD made significant updates to our data collection process and system. Working with Mon Ami, our agency will enhance our infrastructure, data collection, and management enabling us to provide the highest quality services to those who need it most."

This partnership is a significant step forward for the aging and disability community in Tennessee. Together, TCAD and its network of AAADs will be able to better address the needs of older adults and adults with disabilities who receive essential social services like case management, nutrition, health and wellness support, and more. By streamlining data collection and program management, Mon Ami will help AAADs to make more informed decisions and better allocate resources to meet the diverse needs of older adults and adults with disabilities.

TCAD's vision in this effort is commendable. The agency recognizes the importance of putting in place a strong foundation for the future sustainability of aging services. This partnership with Mon Ami will enhance TCAD's ability to deliver high-quality services to older adults and adults with disabilities in Tennessee.

"We are so excited about the leadership TCAD has shown here, innovating their technology usage to improve the lives of older adults and adults with disabilities in Tennessee," said Mon Ami Co-Founder, Madeline Dangerfield-Cha. "Our partnership will serve as a model for how other states can move forward with new technologies to better serve their aging and disability communities."
